The other side...

Australian painter Dean Reilly has spent the last 10 years pursuing sensual form through abstract expression. This journey has uncovered many interesting revelations to both him as an artist and a journeyman. He has uncovered mans delight for symmetry, consistency, balance and control. Man also yearns for the exciting, the chaotic and unpredictable, be it in small doses. “The human spirit certainly has a tendency to be both good and bad, look no further than our honorable and despicable history for solid evidence of these tendencies.” says Dean

Dean's paintings are an evolving body of work after completing over 260 abstracts in the last decade his work now seems to be clawing its way out of modern abstract painting and it is reflecting more on the romantic and classical periods when beauty was trusted and the craft of a great picture was equal to the message conveyed.

When you view Dean's work you are witnessing  commitment, a commitment to craft, a commitment to design and a commitment to expand the knowledge of what we and he see as beauty.
